- In example 1 of section 2.3 (page 48), the number 108% should read simply
108. The percent sign should be removed.
- In section 2.4 (page 55), the second "example 3" should be
example 4.
- In exercise 4 of section 3.2 (page 105), the amount $17,500 should instead
be $17,000.
- In example 2 of section 3.4 (page 95), the last sentence is
incorrect. In that sentence only, the amount $418.05 should instead be
$250.65.
- In section 3.5 (page 96), the column headed "Employer
Deductions" should read "Employer Expenses".
- In examples 1 and 2 of section 3.5 (pages 96-98), the three references to
"this week" should be changed to "this pay period".
- In example 4 of section 4.5 (page 140), on the number line diagram, the
value 10.11 should be 10.51.
- In example 4 of section 4.6 (page 142), the question should read
"What was the sale price of the sofa", not "What was the selling price
of the sofa".
- In example 2 of section 4.7 (page 144), the percent change diagram should
have a plus sign, not a minus sign.
- In exercises 17-20 of section 4.6 (page 172), the question should
read "What is the largest possible percent markdown". The word "percent"
was omitted.
- Answer to problem 15 of section 4.7 should be $2.41 (not $37.01).
(The problem is on page 173, the answer is on page 379.)
- In examples 1 and 2 of section 5.1 (pages 187-188), the value of the
equipment should be $12,520, and the percent (in example 2) should be 13.74%.
- In example 3 of section 5.3 (page 198), the second year current
depreciation should be $7,770, not $7,700.
- Information is missing in exercises 1-6 of section 5.2 (page 214).
The number of remaining units on December 31 should be 5 dishwashers.
- Information is missing in exercise 24 of section 5.3 (page 220). The
schedule should run for five years.
- Answer for the principal value to problem 13 of section 6.3 should be
$95,405.33 (not $95,403.33). (The problem is on page 265, the answer is
on page 381.)
- Answer to problem 12 of Chapter 6 Review should be 12.81% (not
12.17%). (The problem is on page 279, the answer is on page 382.)
- In example 6 of section 7.3 (page 292), the denominator of the value of I
should be 1, not I (a number, not a letter).
- In example 2 of section 7.5 (page 297), the computation for the variable N
should be 12 times 1, not 10 times 1.
